Greetings!
I have started a Folding@Home team called "Trekking at Home" for those who are interested (Team number = 170196).
I would really like you to join the team(or just start folding), since it will, in my opinion, bring us one step closer to a real Trek society.
For those of you who don't know what F@H is, here is some info:
F@H is a distributed computing project -- people from throughout the world download and run software to band together to make one of the largest supercomputers in the world. Every computer takes the project closer to our goals. Folding@home uses novel computational methods coupled to distributed computing, to simulate problems millions of times more challenging than previously achieved.
Proteins are biology's workhorses -- its "nanomachines." Before proteins can carry out these important functions, they assemble themselves, or "fold." The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways remains a mystery.
Protein folding is linked to disease, such as Alzheimer's, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers.
Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. "misfold"), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.

You can download the F@H clients @

tl;dr: Download a client that will use your idle computing power to help find a cure for cancer, Alzheimer's, Huntington's and other ailments.
If you have any questions just post them here and I will answer them to the best of my abilities
Live long and Prosper!
P.s Yes, the info is copypasta from the F@H front page, no need to rewrite good info ^^

I might add that this software can also run on your PS3.
It's in the "Life with playstation" app, just change the channel to F@H and you're good to go (Don't forget to change the team number to 170196).
This is our teampage btw. Current team rank: 6697 of 174727

Addendum #2
If I did not make it clear in the first post, the most common F@H client uses your GPU to fold. This means that if you run the client when you're not playing or using Photoshop for example, you will not notice any performance drops.
It also works on a low priority so it will only use your spare computing power.
Cheers
